GenStat is a comprehensive statistics package that has been used in the most demanding real-life applications for over 30 years. It contains the broadest range of leading-edge statistical tools in an easy-to-use package, underpinned by its powerful and flexible high-level programming language.

GenStat was developed at the Rothamsted Experimental Station (RRES) where many of the statistical techniques still in use today were first discovered.

ASReml gives you access to the very latest REML (residual maximum likelihood) methods for fitting your linear mixed models. Its uniquely efficient and fast algorithms can save you considerable time and effort, not to mention being able to produce reliable results where other REML tools fail.

ASReml is developed by NSW Department of Primary Industries and Rothamsted Research, the undisputed leaders in REML research. ASReml tools are available as a separate bolt-on module for SPLUS^® and R.

The GenStat Discovery Edition is a free version of GenStat developed by VSN International for use by not-for-profit research organisations, charities and educational institutes based in the developing world.

GenStat is now available for teaching institutions world-wide. Called GenStat for Teaching, the free software is available to all educators and students in courses where data analysis is required including the social sciences, biosciences, economics, market research and mathematics.
